The space is very private, with a separate entrance. A large sliding glass door opens onto the pool deck, while the inner door opens onto a sitting room with a working fireplace.
A small half bath is located nearby as is the laundry. Upstairs the shared spaces include a large, fully equipped kitchen, large formal dining room and living room, large full bath, a front porch with comfortable chairs and a back deck that overlooks the pastures and greenhouse.
Enjoy the grounds which include a hardwood forest, bamboo jungle and springs, a small orchard and mature pecan trees.
Guests are welcome to share our living room and dining room as well as the kitchen. Tours of all areas of the greenhouse and barns are available on request.
The grounds around the house including gardens, lawn and our small orchard are open to guests. Ask about croquet and badminton sets if you’re interested. Pastures and forests available following introduction to the goats and their dogs (2 great pyranees livestock guard dogs) who all love people.
Swimming pool, treadmill, elliptical and workout equipment available by request.
We will be here most of the time. Because we have farm work we may be busy but will always try to help out with information and directions. When we’re not working we’d be happy to spend some time talking with interested guests and to give tours of the farm.
This is a rural area although we’re close enough to see Tryon International Equestrian Center’s lights on a dark night. Internet is high speed DSL and you’ll probably be able to see more stars here at night. Life in the country is good!
