The Rural Seed is currently serving lunch, and dinner Wednesday through Saturday, as well as Breakfast from 9 to noon on Saturdays. On Sunday, they have a diverse Brunch menu that includes homemade Cinnamon Rolls made by Chef and Co-Owner, Adrienne Wilson. Because of their dedication to local farms and suppliers, the menu changes twice a year to focus on produce that will be in season and fresh. These local farms include Caitlyn Farms (Mill Spring) which provides beef grazed on native grasslands, and C & J Farms (Lynn) which is on land belonging to Managing Partner and Co-Owner Carl Pleasants.

The Rural Seed is now featuring beer and wine, including a few local options. They have two indoor seating areas, a main dining room featuring photographs and paintings from local artists, and a tap room with a stage for live music. There is also a patio available for outdoor seating as weather permits. Please check their website for an updated calendar of events."

The Rural Seed serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, featuring fruits, vegetables and meats from Polk County farms, including their own fields located a few miles away in Lynn. The owners have partnered with about 20 local farms and businesses.

The menu offers traditional American favorites, with some Mexican and Asian-inspired influences. For breakfast, guests can enjoy staples such as pancakes, waffles and French toast, while for lunch and dinner, the kitchen offers a variety of burgers, tacos, entrees, salads and sandwiches.  Watch for specials and changes with the seasons.  Special meals happen around the holidays, including some preorder take-home options.  And live music can be heard on occasion.

Guests can enjoy their meals in the casual dining room, accented by local photographs on the walls, or sit at a table outside.  To-go orders are welcomed.
