On September ,10th an event will be held at the Columbus veterans park(Columbus NC 40 Gibson st ) in honor of the September 11th tragedy 21 years ago ,Food will be sold from foothills BBQ and a dessert sale will also be held ,with proceeds going toward the Columbus Fire dept Benevolence fund

A special memorial tribute service will be held in Honor of the Hero’s of 911 ,From Fire Cheif Tony Preister

Following the ceremony into the night a Bluegrass concert will be held featuring ,soem of the best area

Bluegrass Gospel groups : THE KING JAMES BOYS ,THE GOLDEN VALLEY CRUSADERS ,THE RIGHT SIDE ,COLT CREEK ,and MIKE UPRIGHT ,with a special rare reunion of Mikes group; STANDING TALL.

There is no admission charge ,but any size donation is accepted for the Benevolence fund

Please bring lawn chairs ,in case of Rain ,it will be held inside the Fire Dept
