Any & All Dog Show
November 10 @ 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm
On Sunday, November 10th, the Tryon Riding and Hunt Club will be hosting the 86th Any and All Dog Show at Harmon Field in Tryon. The motto for this just for fun show is “every dog has its day.” Big or small, young or old- all dogs are welcome! As in past shows, classes will include Dog with the Best Trick, Dog with the Waggiest Tail, Dog with the Best Costume, Dog That Looks Most Like Its Owner, Dog that Would Rather Be At Home, and Best Rescue/Adopted Dog. New this year is a class looking for the Dog with the Most Unusual Coat. Each class will have an entry fee of $1. Ribbons will be awarded to dogs shown by both children and adults. So bring your pup and come out and let the good times roll! As the title of the show says, any and all dogs (and their owners) are welcome!
Registration for the show will begin at 12:30 and the classes will start at 1:30 pm.
Thanks to the generosity of Laura Backus at Purrfect Bark in Columbus, there will be free “swag bags” full of goodies for your canine companion. These bags will be given to participants when they register.
As part of the show afternoon, there will be free and fun activities for kids and kids-at-heart. A petting zoo will be there for most of the afternoon with baby animals of all types, including a unicorn! Also, a professional face-painter will be on hand to create fabulous works of art on the many smiling faces. There will be a variety of games such as Go-Fish and Corn Hole. Our very own Hermione the mini horse will be in attendance as well.
All proceeds from the dog show will benefit two local canine rescue organizations- Lennie’s Kids and Pet Tender Angels. Tryon Riding and Hunt Club will donate all the funds raised by the show to these two organizations.
Begun by Carter Brown in 1933, this historic TR&HC event is a lot of fun, so mark your calendars for 12:30 pm Sunday, November 10th at Harmon Field and bring your pooch for the TR&HC’s 86th Any and All Dog Show!♦
