Armchair Traveler at FENCE

March 17, 2019 @ 4:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Free

Peru has it all – from the high Andes mountains and rocky, Pacific coastline in the west to the rich Amazon Basin in the east, this large South American nation is packed full of natural wonders. Home to over 1700 species of birds including 100 endemics, it ranks as one of the top birdwatching destinations in the world. Join international bird guide Aaron Steed as he recounts 2 recent Peruvian adventures – a tour through the Andes looking for a dazzling array of hummingbirds & tanagers, and a week-long cruise down the mighty Amazon River in search of river dolphins, piranhas, monkeys, & macaws.

This event is made possible by the Kirby Endowment at the Polk County Community Foundation. This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
