English Paper Piecing is a very popular quilt technique which originated in England in the 1700’s. It is a method of wrapping fabrics around paper templates which are then hand sewn together to create simple to complex patterns. This workshop will focus on the versatile hexagon, which is easy to piece and has a myriad of design possibilities. Students will be able to experiment (stitch) with several different sizes of hexies and we’ll talk about the use of color and pattern to create these fascinating mosaic type designs.

Debbie will provide needles, thread and lots of wonderful fabrics to use as well as many hexagon projects for inspiration.

Students, bring your small scissors and learn all about this addictive technique!
