Upstairs Artspace, Tryon’s contemporary art gallery, will host a workshop on creating murals — Peonies, Monkeys, Birds and Butterflies, Oh, My! — Tuesday, Oct. 15, 9-a.m.-4:30 p.m., taught by world-renowned muralist Jennifer Carrasco of Seattle, WA. The workshop is open to anyone with basic design, drawing, and painting skills. The cost of the all-day workshop is $200. The class is limited to 15 participants.
