Enjoy a glass of wine with your friends and a night of light-heartedness to improve your health and outlook on life. Bestselling author, Kathryn Thorson Gruhn says, “When we talk we take turns, but when we laugh; we laugh together,” She is an accomplished story teller and will share some of her stories from her recently published book, Drug Tested for Being Happy. Jack Canfield, creator of Chicken Soup of the Soul, laughed out loud when he heard her true and funny stories and suggested Kathryn compile the stories in a book and perform them. She is playing her Dobro with guitar accompanist, Tyron Thorson. The style will be similar to Prairie Home Companion, with stories, jokes and music, representing her Minnesota heritage. Kathryn lives in Columbus, North Carolina on a horse farm. Book signing after the performance.
The Stage Door Series is TFAC’s newest series, with patrons seated onstage with the artists for a unique perspective on concerts, theater, spoken word events, and more. Seating is limited, so reservations are strongly encouraged. Admission is $5. Beer, wine, and other concessions will be available.
