INTRODUCTION To The ZENTANGLE METHOD

Saturday,January 5th(10am–1pm)
Description:An easy to learn, relaxing and fun way to create beautiful images by drawing
structured patterns called tangles . Using Sakura Micron pens, pencils, tortillon,and working on a 3.5” paper ‘tile, participants will learn techniques that will help them relax, focus and have a sense of artistic satisfaction at the conclusion of each class.This 2.5 hour class will provide a beginner with a background in the history of Zentangle, introduce them to the basics steps of the method and expose them to associated vocabulary and tools used. Students will be immersed in creating
two Zentangle tiles to take home and will leave with a clear understanding that,“Anything is possible one stroke at a time.”®
All of the necessary materials are provided /included in fee :
1 black Pigma Micron 01 pen
1 mini graphite pencil
1 tortillon
5–3.5” square Zentangle tiles
Muslin bag
This introductory class is the prerequisite for all the classes that follow.
For Beginners on up.

Students Minimum Age: 15 years old
Class to be held in the Tryon Painters and Sculptors downstairs studios. Please park in back
parking lot and enter/exit through basement studio doors.
