We are sharing this information so you are aware and can plan accordingly. This law is enforced. The ban makes it a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of at least $50 to possess or consume alcohol on the waters or within 50 feet of the river banks in Polk County. It does not apply to riverside landowners or guests on their property, nor does it apply to lakes. The Wildlife Resources Commission and Polk County Sheriff’s Department can enforce the measure.
