WALKING & DRIVING TOURS, GUIDED HIKES

  • Walking tours in historic areas (for groups of 1-10 people; predetermined routes and duration):  $25/person
  • Driving tours (for groups of 1-14 passengers).  Group can request a tour of specific stops, a tour built around a theme, or an itinerary developed based on guide recommendations.  Minimum:  2 hours
  • Guided hikes for individuals and groups of up to 10 people. Transportation, one local guide, drinks and snacks provided.

TRANSPORTATION ONLY

  • Van rental w/ driver:  15-passenger 2021 Ford Transit 350, medium roof style (driver + 14). Serving Henderson County, NC and adjoining counties, including Asheville Airport, City of Asheville, Greenville-Spartanburg Airport

Local tourism specialist with 10 years + experience available for in-person or remote meetings with current or prospective tourism-related businesses to assess opportunities in this area and offer advice on approaches to local tourism, as well as local contacts.  Includes written follow-up recommendations.

Details:

Minimum age:  tours open to children 10 and above if accompanied by parents; all other participants must be at least 18 years of age.  No children under 10 years of age.

Fitness:  average/good fitness level required for most hikes and walking tours; no high-risk activities or high-difficulty trails are offered, but trail grade and quality vary.  Hiking participants will receive a list of appropriate footwear, clothing and items to bring in ahead of time. Please alert the guide to any physical limitations or concerns in advance.

Waiver form:  all adult tour participants are required to read, agree to and sign the Explore Henderson County LLC waiver form either in advance or on the day of the tour, both for themselves and for any minor children accompanying them.

Dogs and other pets:  animals are not permitted on Explore Henderson County tours due to allergy concerns for current and future passengers, as well as inadmissibility of animals at various tour stops.

Special requests and conditions:  must be discussed and agreed upon with tour operator in advance.

No open alcoholic beverage containers or alcohol consumption, with the exception of beverages served and consumed at tour stops (for example, winery, brewery or distillery tasting).

No firearms:  this applies both to concealed and open carry, regardless of permit held or state and local laws.
