Harmon Field

Harmon Field is a public park of approximately 45 acres dedicated to sports and recreation. It is the home of the nationally recognized Blue Ridge BBQ Festival and host of many equine events. Harmon Field consists of 36 acres of ball fields, soccer fields, a quarter mile track, tennis courts, equestrian facilities including rings and stables, a playground, a picnic shelter and a cabin for special events.

Harmon Field is a public park of approximately 45 acres dedicated to sports and recreation. It is the home of the nationally recognized Blue Ridge BBQ Festival and host of many equine events. At Harmon Field you will find paved walking trails, covered picnic tables, a fenced Tiny Tot playground, baseball fields, soccer fields, tennis courts and a seven-hole putting green. Walk the trails and listen to the river or find an old log cabin.

Disc Golf
A nine-hole disc golf course is now in place at Harmon Field, starting next to the basketball hoops and stretching across the bridge into Hog Heaven. The game is the same as golf with the exception of throwing a disc into a basket as opposed to using a club and golf ball. Each hole has a par and there are out of bounds boundaries.

Music in the Field

During the summer, there is Music in the Field every first Sunday through October from 6 to 8 pm.

The Toy Tub

Harmon Field has tetherball, volleyball and a “Toy Tub” available for party rental at the park. Just reserve the fun by calling Tryon Town Hall at 859-6654. The tub includes horseshoes, croquet, bocce, badminton, frisbee, and a variety of balls.

Gatherings at the Log Cabin

Rent the log cabin with kitchen, covered picnic area, decks overlooking Pacolet River, public bathrooms, playground, track, tennis courts, baseball field, and horse show rings.

Cabin and covered picnic area available by reservation (small fee for log cabin rental).

Dog Park

There are separate areas for large and small dogs.There are waste stations on each side for small dogs and large dogs and water available for people and the dogs.There is seating, shades, and agility stations for the dogs.

Directions

From I-26, take exit 67, NC 108 west toward Tryon. When the road makes a Y, follow the signs to US 176, toward Saluda, to the right onto Harmon Field Rd. Harmon Field will be on your right.
