Founded in 1890, Thompson’s Store in downtown Saluda is the oldest grocery store in North Carolina. Thompson’s features gourmet goods, a full-service meat market that offers hand-cut meats including Thompson’s signature Charlie’s Sage Sausage, a deli section, fine wines and craft beers, fresh produce, frozen meals, candies and household staples.
