The 2-story open plan living area with warm stained white pine ceilings is filled with natural light flowing in from floor-to-ceiling windows. On chilly evenings, guests can enjoy a cozy fire in the stacked stone gas fireplace. Preparing a large meal is easy in the fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances. The adjacent dining room has a wall of windows with views of Sugar Loaf Mountain.
Also on the main floor is the large master suite with a king bed and an en suite bath with double vanity, Jacuzzi tub, walk-in shower and a separate toilet room. Adjacent to the master bedroom is a light filled sunroom/office with mountain views. There’s also a second queen bedroom and a full bath with tub/shower on the main floor.
Guests will also appreciate the two queen bedrooms and half bath upstairs; one bedroom which also has a daybed with pull-out trundle. For additional sleeping accommodations, the game room downstairs has a futon. Maximum occupancy for this home is 12 people, including children.
Everyone will enjoy a challenging game of ping pong or watching a classic movie in the game room. Outside the game room is a covered patio furnished for dining and complete with a gas grill. Guests can also enjoy roasting marshmallows or hot dogs in the outdoor fire pit off the patio.
Rock Springs Retreat is perfect for large families or groups of friends who want privacy in a country setting, while being close to area attractions.
It’s only a 10-minute drive through the beautiful rolling hills of western North Carolina’s horse country to the Tryon International Equestrian Center, home of the 2018 World Equestrian Games. The quaint and charming shops and restaurants in Chimney Rock Village and hiking in Chimney Rock State Park are 12 miles from the home. You can swim, fish, or rent a canoe or pontoon boat to explore Lake Lure and enjoy lakeside dining only 11 miles from the home. Within 6-10 miles are Parker-Binns Vineyards for wine tastings, the Gorge Zip Line Canopy Tour, Kid Senses Children’s Interactive Museum, hiking in Bradley Nature Preserves, the Shunkawauken Waterfall and tubing on the Green River.
Rock Springs Retreat is 35 miles east of Asheville where you can enjoy all the diverse activities this artsy, funky town has to offer, such as visiting the historic Biltmore Estate or touring local art galleries and wineries.
