Spacious and well appointed, the barn has all modern comforts and everything you need for a great getaway vacation. Seven minutes off the I-26 exit at Saluda, you are near world-class kayaking, biking, hiking trails, tubing, ziplines, and more. Bradley Falls (Big and Little) Trailheads are a few minutes’ walk down the road.
Asheville airport is a quick 24 min drive. Hendersonville is 15 min away.
Stay local and visit Saluda’s art galleries and cultural attractions then enjoy a delicious meal at a nearby restaurant. Venture to surrounding towns and visit the nearby TIEC, or take a ride, by bike or car, on a scenic roadway to the scenic town of Tryon. Check out the many summer events in the area for plenty of concerts, rodeos, plays, and more. Whether you want to hike, shop, chill with drink while enjoying live music, or sit by the firepit as you road the perfect marshmallow, the Saluda Dream Cabin is your place for the perfect getaway.

About the Saluda Getaway (The Barn):
► Master Bedroom:
King Bed, chest and mirror, two nightstands, sitting area, hi-boy, large cedar double closet
► Bedroom 2:
Queen bed two nightstands, sitting area, chest and mirror, closet, shelves
► Additional Sleeping Accommodations:
— Double sleeper sofa with a comfy mattress topper is available in the living room.
— Queen size double tall air mattress and electric pump is also available and can be placed in the living room or master bedroom.
— Pack & Play crib is available upon request
Extra linens, pillows, towels, and blankets are provided for our guests.
► Living Room/Playroom:
Large living room with large comfy couch, sleeper sofa, chaise, side tables, game basket, Samsung 65″ smart TV with premium streaming services, dresser/TV console, and armoire. An electric fireplace is available for that quirky fireside feel. The barn has central ac/heat and ceiling fans throughout. It is incredibly well insulated, cozy and most welcoming.
► Kitchen/Dining Room:
Very large open concept room with full size stove, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, garbage disposer, automatic drip coffee maker, 4-slice toaster and a large microwave. The kitchen is very well stocked with pots and pans, glasses, wine glasses, casserole pans, storage containers, baking supplies, dishes for 8 (dinner plates, salad plate, bowls, coffee mugs (lots and lots of coffee mugs), extra serving plates and bowls and all the cooking and baking utensils you may need for an extended stay.
► Breakfast goodies are provided. Coffee, cream, tea, hot chocolate, pancake/waffle mix, syrup, sugar and sweeteners, spices and cooking basics are provided. Cleaning products are available beneath the sink.
We suggest a stop at a grocery store as there is no full store in Saluda. The nearest store is in either Tryon (IGA on Trade Street) or Columbus (Food Lion on Mills Street (opens late)). Water quality at the cabin is excellent. If you need supplies let us know at least 3-days in advance. We can coordinate delivery of groceries or other items for a small additional fee plus actual cost.
► Dining Rooms:
There are two dinner tables. A high top with four stools and a large round dinner table with 4 chairs and room for at least 2 more. An extra chair is available in the living room or use the desk chair to allow for more seating. Place mats are available in the first top drawer as are cork pads and cutting board to place hot or heavy items that may damage the table.
► Desk/Work Area:
A desk with a super comfy vintage desk chair is available should you need to stay connected to the real world.
► Mini-Mud Room Area: When you enter the kitchen/dining room to the left of the front door is a place for your muddy shoes, raincoat or jacket. A hose is conveniently located outside for your convenience. A steel bucket is located here. In it you will find everything you need to BBQ or start a bonfire.
► Bathroom:
Shower, commode, sink. Plenty of towels are provided. First aid kit is available in the bathroom drawer. Various soaps and liquid hand soaps. Should you forget to bring some basics we have some emergency backup toothbrushes and personal items available.
► Front Porch:
BBQ Grill, rocking chairs, tables. A water hose is located to the left of the porch, so can you wash off your bike, kayak, pet or yourself.
► Patio, Firepit & the great outdoors:
Start your day with a walk in the woods behind the cabin. Surrounded by 14k acres of conservation land, birdwatching is spectacular. Ask about the Merlin app to help you ID what you hear. As the day fades to night, a bonfire sets the tone for the ideal evening. Located behind the barn, is a stone patio with a firepit and seating for guests to enjoy. A firepit kit is available in the metal bucket near the front door.
In it, you’ll find lighter, bellows pump, and fire starters.
► Laundry/Storage Room:
A washer and dryer are available for guest use. We provide detergent, softener and such. This very large workshop also serves as a storage area. You are welcome to store your bikes, or other outdoor gear in this room. This is where additional supplies are stored. As such, we may occasionally be in and out of this room.
► Wi-Fi & Mobile Service:
Mobile service is available. Best service is through T-Mobile and Verizon. Wi-Fi is provided at 25mps which is great for the region. You can stream movies, work off your tablet/laptop, and chat with family and friends.
► Access to the barn is easy from Holbert Cove Road. There are no dirt roads or steep roadways to deal with. There’s very little car traffic in the area, so be ready to enjoy a peaceful stay where the foothills meet the Blue Ridge mountains of North Carolina.
SEASONS
The area has the best climate one could ask for. Moderate temperatures most of the year allow for great outdoor enjoyment. We have great seasons in the mountains of Saluda. Spring is bright green and filled with wildflowers. Summers invites visitors to the creeks and swimming hole at Little Bradley Falls, a short hike from the cabin. Fall colors are breathtaking. Time you’re visit to harvest fresh raspberries from the bushes bordering the property. Or enjoy delicious pears from two large trees in front of the log cabin.
PET GUESTS:
Dogs are welcome, as long as they are well-behaved and house-trained. Up to two pets, there is a one-time $75 pet fee. For more than 2 pets we charge an extra pet fee of $20 per pet, per stay. Please message us in advance. You can add them as guests when you book. The cabin is kept very clean for all our guests, regardless of how many legs. 🙂
Puppy towels are available in case you left yours at home. We provide water and food dishes for our furry friends. Please help keep the woods natural and pick-up after your pups. Most places in town are dog friendly, as are most trails.
PHOTOSHOOTS & COMMERCIAL FILMING:
Personal photo shoots are welcomed. We host a number of engagements, anniversaries, and wedding guests. The grounds at the cabin are a beautiful backdrop for any photo shoot. Your reservation provides access for two guests and a photographer. If you are filming or photographing for commercial use, or bringing a larger crew or a film crew a commercial use fee will be added to your reservation.
ADDITIONAL CLEANING:
For guests staying longer than one-week, additional cleaning services are available. Fees vary by level of service.
Guest access
Parking for 2-vehicles is available in front of the main entrance. Additional parking is available roadside and across the street. There is a second cabin next door, Please leave enough space for two vehicles on the left.
Door access is by keyless entry. Your code will be provided the day prior to your arrival.
The area is car and cycling friendly, hiking too. You will need a vehicle to quickly reach different areas.

Tryon/Columbus: 15-20 minutes. Most scenic drive/ride is down US HWY 176 or Pearson Falls Road (mostly unpaved) to 176. You can also take I-26 to Columbus exit 67 then turn right to HWY 108 into Tryon. Be careful, speed limits drop quickly as you reach town and enforcement is frequent.
Mills Springs/Wineries/Tryon International Equestrian Center TIEC: 10-20 minutes via Holbert Cove Road. Wineries are MUST.
Saluda: Less than 10 minutes away is the lovely town of Saluda. Be sure to visit the local shops and eateries. The Visitor’s Center maintains a schedule of local happenings, maps and local information. This is a great stop for road cyclists exploring Brevard and Green River area.
Hendersonville: Approximately 20 minutes away. Enjoy all the best parts of a larger town. Businesses here stay open later and more frequently than smaller towns in the area.
Asheville: Between 30-45 minutes away. Asheville and all its greatness.
Landrum, SC: 25-30 minutes Lovely little border town with lots of events and dining options.
