Season: Weekend before Memorial Day – Weekend after Labor Day

While guests can enjoy staying overnight at Wilderness Cove year-round, tubing and kayaking on the Green River attract thousands of day guests during the summer months! It is hard to beat cool mountain water on a hot summer day. The Lower Green River allows for plenty of excitement with Class I and II rapids, relaxation in deep water swimming holes, and cooling off with refreshing mountain water! The Upper Green and Narrows take it to the next level with rapids ranging from Class III to Class V. Check our Facebook page or call ahead for daily updates on the tubing schedule during the summer as our schedule is based on the dam release for each day. You do not have to camp with us to tube or kayak – just show up for the day! Our prices includes your shuttles, tube / kayak, life jacket, use of facilities, and parking. All children must be 42” or taller. Call ahead with groups of 10 or more to inquire about group discounts!

We no longer offer round, open-bottom tubes. Though the river has been cleaned frequently, rocks and debris are throughout the river. We have adjusted and upgraded to “Mini Cats” – as seen in photos above. They are basically pontoon boats with thick padded bottom. Once we hand you a paddle, you’ll be able to expertly navigate obstacles and rapids.

We do have a few inflatable kayaks available as an upgrade or accommodation (for those needing to carry gear with them on the river).

Mini Cat info:

-Single rider only, no tying tubes together

-Paddle included – helmet & lifejacket optional (required for 16 & under)

-Water shoes are required with a strap or closed heel (glass still abundant on the riverbed)

-Ages 10 & up. Younger children have difficulty paddling on their own and navigating obstacles.

We’ve increased the age limit to ensure that every one of our tubers return safely.

For the younger folks, we have a calm wading area for playing in the river, Scavenger Hunt, Rock Painting is very popular at our campground, and snacks in the Camp Store.

Day Pass includes: Vault Bathhouse access, use of our private riverfront, parking pass, and Wi-Fi (strong enough to reach the two hiking trails beside us). We are located directly across from Green River Cove Trail and Green River Gamelands Trail. Please note: the Milton Bradley Trail to the waterfall is no longer accessible.
