On the WWII Homefront a Fundraiser for Local Veterans

Saturday, November 8, 10am-5pm, Fundraiser for local Veterans, Downtown Tryon, NC.♦

Downtown Tryon will transport visitors back to the early 1940s to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. Visitors will have the opportunity to learn about the local history of the area and the citizens who helped shape Tryon into what it is today, while enjoying various exhibits and live period music. Merchants and local citizens will dress in 1940s attire, and 1930s and early 40s vehicles will be scattered about town. Buildings will carry signage indicating which businesses were there and what prices were in effect in those days.
