Green River Family Fun Day

Bring family, friends, and your folding chairs for a Family Fun Day along the Green River on Saturday, June 22nd from 1 to 5 p.m. The afternoon will be filled with opportunities to connect and celebrate our community in one of our local outdoor treasures along the Green River. Admission to the event is free.
Some of the planned activities and offerings include:
Local Farmers Market
Axe throwing for adults
Axe, dart and flying stars activity for kids
Freedom Hill Rescue Farm petting zoo area
Caricature portrait artist
Face painting
Watermelon spitting contest
River Swimming Access* (dependent on weather and water levels. Liability release form must be signed)
Live music by James Metcalf & Colt Creek Bluegrass
“Spirit of America” food truck
Baked goods, snacks, drinks for sale & cake auction
Green River Family Fun Day is made possible by local organizations and neighbors in our community that want to provide more opportunities to reconnect and celebrate what makes Polk County the place we love.
Location: River Ministries River Barn site along the Green River in Polk County, 325 Sycamore Lane, Rutherfordton (off Coxe Road).
