
Juneteenth Celebration at Roseland Community Center

FreeThis free event features vendors, kid’s activities, historical exhibits, and more. The celebration takes place on Saturday, June 21, 12-4pm at the Roseland Community Center, Tryon, NC.♦
This free event will feature historical exhibits and Juneteenth trivia, as well as a select number of vendors. There will be games and activities at the event for children and adults. There will also be music and dancing, as well as food trucks onsite. Gospel group Changed will perform.
The group, Changed, led by Polk County resident Robert Staley, features a fabulous repertoire of traditional gospel songs and outstanding vocalists. African drummer Adama Dembele of Asheville’s African Drum and Dance Community and DJ Eric Washington Jr. of Charlotte will also appear, keeping the music going throughout the afternoon.
Please park along Peake, East Howard and Shepherd Streets. Additional parking is available in the Ziglar Field area. A Shuttle service will be available to transport attendees from Ziglar Field to Roseland.
