Kinusaiga at Mirrorball
November 14 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
$40 – $120Event Navigation
Spend a Saturday afternoon learning kinusaiga, the Japanese art of creating images from fabric without a single stitch. Fabric is tucked into grooved panels, and each piece gradually builds a finished work of art. It’s quiet, absorbing, and much easier than it looks.
Blue Ridge Craftworks instructors Cara and Beth will guide you through the process from start to finish. Choose the design that fits your mood and experience:
-Sunrise Over Hills is a calm first project and a great introduction to the technique.
-Mountain Sunset Landscape layers peaks under a glowing sunburst.
-Disco Ball has 36 shimmering facets. It’s our most ambitious design and was practically made for this room.
All materials are included, and no experience is needed. You’ll leave with a finished 8×8 piece, ready to hang. Framing is available for an additional $7.
Bring a friend, or bring the whole table. Seating is limited to 20, because good light and good company work best in small numbers.
