im Carson AIS, Saluda artist, will teach a workshop on June 20-22, titled “Painting Loose with Intention”, which is designed to bridge the gap between becoming more expressive with your paintings (in color, contrast, texture, and bold marks), while at the same time keeping the focus, clarity, and precision of a finished painting. Jim’s workshop will show how your paintings can still have a fresh and spontaneous “feel”, without being either stiff or sloppy.

The workshop will be taught in Jim’s studio, located on the second floor above the new Azalea Bistro on Main Street, in Saluda,NC. The workshop is open to all levels, from beginners to advanced. A list of brushes, paint selections, etc, will be furnished after registration.
