Countdown to Midnight in Downtown Tryon! December 31, 7-10:30pm. The ball drops from the clock tower at “Tryon Midnight” which is 10pm.
As the clock ticks toward the stroke of midnight, historic Tryon comes alive with anticipation. Families gather, their faces illuminated by the warm glow of streetlights and the twinkle of stars. Laughter and chatter fill the air, creating a sense of togetherness that transcends time.
As the seconds dwindle, eyes turn upward, and hearts beat in unison. 10… 9… 8…
And then, as the final seconds tick away, the crowd chants in unison: “Happy New Year!” In Tryon, the past and present converge, and hope for the future hangs in the crisp night air.
