Fundraising Event on Saturday, April 18, 10am-6pm at the Foothills Humane Society, 989 Little Mountain Rd., Columbus, NC. Come out and enjoy a full day of activities for animal lovers of all ages, promising fun, furry faces and good company. 10:45am: Dog Drawing Contest: aspiring artists can sketch a live dog model for prizes 11:30am: Doggy/Handler Relay Race – encourages playful competition among teams. 12pm: Pup Cup Celebration and lunch – treat all shelter dogs with special pup cups if $6,000 fundraising goal is met. 1pm: Egg Hunt – participants help find hidden eggs with the pups 1:30pm: Kids Craft Table – craft enrichment toys for shelter pets 2pm: Bingo with a Twist –  Play Bingo ($10 to play) while the dogs roam around. 3pm: Toy Pick Milestone – Dogs get to select toys from the toy pile if the event reaches $8,500 4pm: Dog Yoga – led by Lake Lure Yoga – open to all skill levels – bring your own mat and water. 5pm: Cornhole Tournament – play against others    ...
