September 2-8 EVENTS Quick View: Here’s a look at events happening around the First Peak of the Blue Ridge from September 2-8, 2026. It’s finally here – the 5th Annual Earl Scruggs Music Festival held at Tryon International over Labor Day weekend. The music kicks off Thursday with a free event for everyone, then the ticketed festival runs from Friday to Sunday with more than 50 scheduled performances across 3 stages, including headliners Bela Fleck, Greensky Bluegrass and The Avett Brothers.
