March 11-17 EVENTS Quick View:  Here’s a look at events happening around the First Peak of the Blue Ridge from March 11-17, 2026. We’re seeing a few tiny green leaves in some trees, and new spring flowers are showing up daily – what a delight! You might even find a four leaf clover, if you’re lucky, of course. Enjoy words and music in the mountains this week – as Donovan McAbee returns to his home area Wednesday night (the 11th) for an evening of readings from his new book of poetry plus live music from friends. Later in the week, watch Jamie Laval’s St. Patrick’s online concert, enjoying Irish and Scottish tunes from the comfort of home. (Both pictured.)
