Welcome to October – such a beautiful time here at the First Peak of the Blue Ridge. The leaves will begin changing around Saluda and our higher elevations early on and will ripple down the mountains to Tryon, Columbus and our rolling farmland all month and into November, so come and experience peak fall colors with us.
Make your plans around a big event or let the scenery be the star – you’re sure to have a lot of fun. This week, enjoy fall festivals, special dinners, wine tastings and art events – plus lots of live music. Cole Lumbus, pictured above, watches over downtown Columbus all year and is the unofficial figurehead of the Wood Carvers, Whittlers & Wood Crafters Festival happening across the street this Saturday.
