October 15-21 EVENTS Quick View: Here’s a look at events happening around the First Peak of the Blue Ridge from October 15-21, 2025.
We are seeing some early fall color here at the First Peak of the Blue Ridge – the bright greens on the mountains are softening as reds and golds begin to appear. We’ll keep you posted with fall color updates or give us a call for the latest update so you can plan a fall visit.
Come to the First Peak for the day or the weekend – after a day of equestrian competitions, marvel at a light show performed by drones (????) at Tryon International Equestrian Center. Plus check out live music, wine tastings, special dinners and more in this week’s schedule.
Also, Halloween is creeping up on us, and we made a starter list of Halloween events so you can make plans and get your costumes together. A new highlight this year is a 3-day Fright Fest at FENCE (Foothills Equestrian Nature Center) 10/23-25 – starting at 7pm every night with a Haunted House and Trail and an outdoor movie in a pastoral setting. Additionally, on Thursday, 10/24, things kick off earlier for Kids’ Night, from 5-7pm.
