This Week at the First Peak - head this way for the 62nd Annual Coon Dog Day Festival in Saluda on Saturday - a fun and quirky festival in this wonderful mountain town. We have twice the fun on Friday with summer concerts in both Tryon and Saluda. Plus U-pick blueberries 🫐and sunflowers🌻at our beautiful farms, food events, comedy night, and kid's activities. This Week at the First Peak - June 25-July 1 - Exciting news! This Saturday in Mill Spring, we are celebrating our new mountain bike trail opening at the Little White Oak Mountain trailhead. It's a great place for hiking too. Load your bike and head this way to enjoy the gorgeous and adventurous trail. Check out this FANTASTIC NEWS! A stay at the First Peak is full of fun 🥳- with our small towns and locally owned businesses open and awaiting your return! Our wineries and attractions have full schedules of summer events. 🎡🎸🌳
And now, your visit can include a day trip to our dear friends just @25 minutes away who are reopening piece by piece. The businesses in the town of Lake Lure are open and glad to receive visitors (but the lake itself is not open this season). Similarly, the village of Chimney Rock is not yet re-opened but the 1,000-acre Chimney Rock at Chimney Rock State Park is reopening to guests on June 27! 😁 We're so happy about this! Things will be a little different - reservations are required enjoy a trip into this spectacular mountain attraction. They're making it easy with the info attached, or check out their Facebook page or web site.
