“Women Photographers in Tryon” will be the subject of the lecture by art historian Dr. Lili Corbus. The lecture highlights her research on pioneering women photographers who documented the people and landscapes of Tryon and its surroundings during the early to mid-20th century, including Margaret Morley, Frances Benjamin Johnston, Bayard Wooten, and Hansel Mieth.
In addition, after her presentation, Corbus will lead a walk-through of the current gallery exhibition that she co-curated. ♦
