BBQ Beatdown in Downtown Tryon

BBQ Beatdown, on McCown Street in Downtown Tryon, NC. Contestants from around the area compete for the award of “Best BBQ.”  Vote for your favorite BBQ for $1 per ticket/vote so bring plenty of singles!  Tastings will be from 4-6pm. There will be 5 chicken, 10 pork, 5 beef, and 5 other (lamb, vegetarian, seafood, etc.) contestants. There will also be a contest for the best cornbread. The cornbread contest will be on the plaza. Other awards include the Audience Prize at the 2019 Cliburn International Junior Piano Competition, and the Aspen Music Festival Concerto Competition. In 2023, Ms. Gagliano was invited by Sir András Schiff to participate in his Building Bridges concert series in Europe. She made her Carnegie Hall debut at age 20 and has since appeared in distinguished venues such as Luxembourg Philharmonie, Ehrbar Saal in Vienna, La Grange au Lac in Évian, and Miami International Piano Festival.
