Oct 16-22 EVENTS Quick View: Here’s a look at events happening around the First Peak of the Blue Ridge from Oct 16-22, 2024.
This autumn, we’re ready for you to fall in love with our mountains. We are open for visitors and can’t wait to see you. Your day trips and overnight stays are so important for our local businesses right now.
Check out our events calendar and plan a trip. This week’s events include some of our favorites – Friday Sunset Celebration at Parker-Binns Vineyard, Saturday Night Lights at Tryon International Equestrian Center, live music, some specialty food events, and more.
Our peak fall color is starting now in the higher elevations and will cascade down to the lower elevations through early November, ensuring that we have weeks of peak fall color.
Read our blog with information on how to visit this fall, including the latest info on all the lodging, restaurants and attractions that are confirmed open, and those that are temporarily closed. The latest restaurant guide with hours is available here.
We want you to know that our small town main streets and most businesses have reopened and look forward to seeing you. But some of our scenic natural areas need time to evaluate their property and provide recovery next steps or timing – including trails, attractions and scenic roads. There are still some places that are closed and should be avoided for safety and security. Be sure to verify information directly with each location prior to your visit – we can help at 828-894-2324, send us an e-mail or check the location’s Facebook page/call them directly.
