October 29 – November 4 EVENTS Quick View:  Here’s a look at events happening around the First Peak of the Blue Ridge from October 29 – November 4, 2025. It’s time to head this way to enjoy fall color in the mountains – there is still a mix of colorful and green leaves, so the color will continue to change around the area. The colors are seen across our mountain views and in our small towns, with the most showing around the Saluda, NC area. It’s time for Halloween! The calendar is packed with festivities for all ages – don’t miss out. And this week brings 2 favorite annual events – the 92nd Annual Any and All Dog Show is a lighthearted show for man’s best friend – all are welcome to join in the fun; and the 14th Annual Tryon Beer Fest promises a fun afternoon in downtown Tryon. Check them all out here in this week’s schedule. This Week at the First Peak – Events for Oct 22-28, 2025

October 22-28 EVENTS Quick View:  Here’s a look at events happening around the First Peak of the Blue Ridge from October 22-28, 2025. We are enjoying the fall colors and leaves on the ground – and with the addition of some spooky decorations, it’s definitely Halloween!  The colors are developing over our mountain views and in our small towns, with the most showing around the Saluda, NC area. We’ll keep you posted with fall color updates or give us a call for the latest update so you can plan a fall visit. We kick off the Halloween festivities with several events this week – like the new 3-day Fright Fest at FENCE 10/23-25 – starting at 7pm every night with a Haunted House and Trail and outdoor movies. On Friday, 10/24, Kids’ Night starts earlier, 5-7pm. Looks like a frightfully fun time! Wow – our community loves Halloween! We’re posting the events now to give you time to find a costume and make plans! Click this link or see the images below for Halloween-themed events. This Week at the First Peak – Events for Oct 15-21, 2025

October 15-21 EVENTS Quick View:  Here’s a look at events happening around the First Peak of the Blue Ridge from October 15-21, 2025. We are seeing some early fall color here at the First Peak of the Blue Ridge – the bright greens on the mountains are softening as reds and golds begin to appear. We’ll keep you posted with fall color updates or give us a call for the latest update so you can plan a fall visit. Come to the First Peak for the day or the weekend – after a day of equestrian competitions, marvel at a light show performed by drones (????) at Tryon International Equestrian Center. Plus check out live music, wine tastings, special dinners and more in this week’s schedule.  Also, Halloween is creeping up on us, and we made a starter list of Halloween events so you can make plans and get your costumes together. A new highlight this year is a 3-day Fright Fest at FENCE (Foothills Equestrian Nature Center) 10/23-25 – starting at 7pm every night with a Haunted House and Trail and an outdoor movie in a pastoral setting. Additionally, on Thursday, 10/24, things kick off earlier for Kids’ Night, from 5-7pm.   Eat and shop at our many locally owned businesses around the area.  Book a cabin in a scenic spot or a cozy small-town inn. We can help – just let us know what you’re looking for! 828-894-2324. email us.
